I cast this circle of power & protection.
A light shines bright above me & within me. I pray Grandmother Moon graces me with a renewed spirit, bringing calming energies to my heart & mind. I heal under her glow, uniting her fullness of energy & light deep within my soul. May I shine ever so bright. Blessed be.
As the light fills me, I feel my aura awaken; red, passionate, & grounding. Gold flakes drift around me, divine & ethereal. My heart & soul, once pure emptiness, are now filled with spirit.
Last night, I cast a circle. I spent hours reclaiming my power. Beginning with a freezer spell, then a healing spell. I did it in my own way. One thing I’ve learned on this journey: make your practice your own. Let ideas inspire you, but follow your intuition.
Before beginning, I cleaned my space, did an egg cleanse, & purified my home, releasing unwanted energy.
I live in a small studio, & recently rearranged everything to make space for casting, & to shift the energy, to invite something new. As I created the circle, my kitten’s tiny footprints appeared in the salt, a sweet sign of innocence & magick.
I traced my circle with salt & closed it with my athame, channeling divine masculine energy. I called in the quarters. I invited my spirit guides to protect & guide me. I called upon Hekate; goddess of crossroads, witchcraft, & magick. I gave her an offering of mugwort & moon water.
My altar glowed with crystals, candles, my statue of Hekate, a pumpkin, athame, wand, pentacle, triple goddess chalice, tarot cards, & pendulum. Each item held meaning. Every placement had intention.
I spent hours in the sacred energy I created. It had been a while since I’d last cast a circle, something I once did every full & new moon. I’ve always been a witch, but sometimes we fall out of practice for a while. I make spell jars here & there, simple release & manifestation spells, rituals for portals. But last night felt powerful — right before the full moon in Taurus.

Freezer Spell
The intention: to reflect negative energy being sent toward me by a specific person. I wore an obsidian necklace to aid in reflection, a mirror to send back what isn’t mine.
I carved their name on a black spell candle, the last letter closest to the flame, shifting the energy away from me.
I held the candle to my third eye, then to my heart, filling it with intention. I anointed it with dragon’s blood & cedarwood oils. I surrounded it with salt, crystals, & herbs chosen intuitively, my own sacred mix.
I lit the candle & watched. The flame stayed steady, burning slowly. The way a candle burns reveals much — & the Universe whispered that this spell will unfold slowly but surely. I’m grateful.
As it burned, I prepared the jar. I cleansed it, then poured in black salt. On a bay leaf, I wrote their name & birthday then placed it inside.
I burned six handwritten notes from this person in my cauldron & placed the ashes in the jar. I tore twenty-five photos, one by one, looking at each before releasing it.
Once the candle finished burning, I added the remaining salt, herbs, & crystals (except one obsidian piece) into the jar. I poured in a touch of Florida water & moon water, sealing my intentions. I sealed it with black wax & after closing the circle, placed it in the freezer.
Spell complete. Now, we wait.
Crystals & Herbs:
Black tourmaline, Onyx, Labradorite, Clear quartz
Rosemary, Red pepper, Black peppercorns, Astragalus root
Vipers bugloss, Black mustard seeds, Burdock

Healing Spell
The intention: to invite self-love, peace, & deep healing.
I surrounded myself with rose quartz, amethyst, & clear quartz. I lit a pink candle to represent love for self.
In a chalice, I poured moon water. I can’t remember which moon it came from, but moon water always carries its magick. I placed crystals & herbs in the water, setting my intentions. Then I swirled my finger six times, traced a pentacle, & completed eleven motions.
I whispered a chant, speaking love into myself, naming everything I adore about me.
Crystals & Herbs:
Rose quartz, Amethyst, Clear quartz
Lavender, Rose petals, Calendula flower
Speedwell, Plantain leaves
When I opened the circle I felt spirit, magick, release, love, peace, renewal, healing, & wholeness.
May the circle be open, but unbroken.
May the love of the Goddess be ever in my heart.
Merry meet, merry part, & merry meet again. 🌕✨
💛 Ave
